Dries Van Noten has produced a handsome new derby shoe for Spring/Summer 2012. Crafted from black leather, the upper fastens with a black cord lace and sits atop a sturdy natural wood grain sole. Yuketen‘s impressive Spring/Summer 2012 collection is filled with vintage Americana-inspired footwear. The latest installment arrives via thee Blutcher Kiltie Shoes. True to his style, lead designer Yuki Matsuda crafted them with a multicolored suede leather atop a crepe outsole, with hand-stitched moccasin style details throughout. Before everyone asks; no these Nike/Cole Haan/Tom Sachs beauties will not be for sale. Made specially for the Tom Sachs ‘Space Program: Mars’ exhibition currently going on at the Armory in NYC, they are part of the official uniform for the “crew” working the “mission”.
